Farris Municipal Park is about to come alive as the town of Morton hosts its annual Morton Day in the Park. Returning Saturday, May 2, 2026, from 8 a.m.-7 p.m. the day will be filled with local artisan crafts and vendors, live music, and family-friendly fun.
Start the day off with baseball tournaments and an awesome car show. Registration kicks off at 8 a.m. with the much anticipated Car Show, proudly sponsored by Bumper to Bumper. The show will run until 2 p.m. with awards being presented at 1:30 p.m. Registration for the car show is $20. All vehicles are welcome — classic, antique, muscle, trucks, and modern.
Morton Day in the Park is about so much more than cars. Through out the day the park will be filled with local vendors, offering everything from handmade goods and crafts to delicious food. You’ll hear the sounds of music drifting through the park, see kids laughing and playing, and maybe even catch a ball or two.
Event highlights include kids’ activities and games, Jumps, slides, a petting zoo, Chin Up Face Painting, Dane the Balloon Man, digital pictures, foam machine, dunking booth, a mechanical bull, along with raffles and prizes throughout the day. Be sure not to miss entertainment by Shane Deen & the Slow Hand Band featuring a tribute to Conway Twitty.
Chamber Director Lisa Alford, commented saying events like this remind the community why small towns matter.
“They bring people together, strengthen local businesses, and create moments that stay with us long after the day is over,” she said. “In a world that often feels rushed and disconnected, Morton Day in the Park slows things down and brings us back to what truly matters—community, connection, and pride in where we live.”
Bring your lawn chairs and come enjoy a day of family fun!
